Need Ideas for Couple Photoshoot ? Why not in the water or the river?

I had the pleasure of meeting Katie & Conrad last year towards a colder month and did their couple session when It was windy, cold and quite uncomfortable to say the least but they killed it! and it was nothing short of amazing, they braved the cold for a long time and (if you know me you know that I will turn into an icicle the moment I hit any cold weather, i’m the one that sits with a blanket in mid summer as the AC is running) so yes, during their late fall session I was freezing to say the least but their energy kept me going!

Katie scheduled this session out at the beginning of the year and although we re-scheduled it due to the opposite reasoning of cold … it was so HOT in the Tri-Cities area, I was melting… we finally went out to literally THE PERFECT day for a session and Katie surprised me with the BEST SURPRISE a photographer can hear… “so I was thinking of possibly getting in the water for photos” and that was pure music to my ears… im pretty sure my eyes lit up and I couldn’t wait to get them in the water!

I got a little closer to this sweet couple and now that Katie and I have a mommy date together I consider us friends now, haha I consider all my clients friends =D but as I talked with them we found so many similarities and the first and foremost that I literally cannot get over is that both my kids are the same age as both their kids, they have a boy and a girl just like I do and our daughters share the same name!!! Like, that screams for a mommy and kids date!

Katie & Conrad have something so special going on between them! I remember when Katie described their relationship as quirky and that literally exactly how they are, full of cute loving sense of humor towards one another… but what I noticed is the way they look at each other, the way Conrad will make Katie laugh as I directed them throughout the shoot, their love language is so special and different than anything i’ve seen & they definitely was a fun session because of it! I bet when you look through this Couple Session you will catch that love gaze between the two!
