Why You should Add a Second Shooter to your Wedding Photography Coverage

Benefits of having a Second Shooter On your Wedding Day

Its no doubt having a second shooter by my side as an assistant is ideal but not only for me as the main photographer. Let me explain why YOU benefit from a second photographer on your Wedding Day. (don’t worry! this is not an extra step for you, the main shooter is responsible for hiring a second based on their photography style so that your end gallery is cohesive - you won’t even tell the difference!)

  1. Wedding Day Time Saver:

Many times a second and I can split to different locations, when I’m with the bride in the morning, my second is shooting with the groom and their details. More often than not, weddings are usually not on time, I’ve had a wedding where we were so crunched on time that my second and I split taking portrait shots, I took pictures of the bride and groom while my second took photos of the bridal party. This resulted with no shots missed and we were able to save some time that way.

  2. More Photos For You:

Having a second automatically means almost double the amount of photos you get!

  3. Same Moment, Different Angles:

With a Second shooter you get not only double but more of a variety, when I’m shooting the main moment, my second is able to get the same moment either closer or further away giving you a perspective others wise unknown of. This gives you much more depth and story to your wedding day gallery at the end.

  4. Assistance:

In general, my second is there to assist me so I can take the time to focus on having your photos and your wedding time run smoothly on your day, a good example is during family portraits, my second shooter reads and sets family groups based off of a list I request you provide before your wedding day. This results in the quickest, stress-free family formals so you can enjoy the rest of your wedding day.
